Coaches — stop running the "who's coming Saturday?" WhatsApp poll.

Every Friday at 8pm, you open WhatsApp and type the same message you typed last Friday and the Friday before that. KidGOAT is the better way — one link, parents tap their kid, you see live RSVPs roll in. Free, ad-free, and your team gets a real home on the internet out of it.

The Friday-night ritual you'll never have to run again

You know the routine: "Hey team, who's in for Saturday's game at 9? Please reply by tomorrow." By Saturday morning you have eight replies, three private texts, two parents you forgot to add to the chat, and one kid you genuinely don't know if they're showing up.

KidGOAT replaces all of that with a flow you'll set up once. Schedule the game, share the link, parents tap their kid. Live RSVP count for the whole team, on every parent's phone:

That banner shows up on the parent's homepage and on their kid's player page. Tapping it opens the same RSVP page you shared — they can update their answer, share the link with grandparents, or (on game day) tap Start tracking to keep the box score live.

One link. Parents tap. You see who's in.

When a parent opens the link you shared in WhatsApp, they see the full roster with one tap per kid. Their own kid is highlighted. They tap, pick "in" or "out," done — coach (you) sees the count update on the team page in real time:

No accounts needed to view. Your link works for anyone — even grandma who doesn't know what KidGOAT is. If a parent doesn't have an account, they're walked through a 30-second sign-up that pre-fills their kid's name from the roster slot they tapped. They never type "Ozzy."

Your management view: live response counts per kid

From your end (the coach side, at thekidgoat.com/coach/games), every game you scheduled shows the per-kid response state. Green = in, red = out, gray = no response yet. Scan the row, see who hasn't replied, follow up:

Tap "Share link" any time to re-send the link to your team WhatsApp. Tap a quiet pill to nudge that parent. Coaching, not chasing.

And while we're at it: a real home on the internet

Beyond the RSVP flow, your team gets a real, shareable URL — something you can drop in the team chat, the school newsletter, the kids' grandparents' email:

You don't have to be the stat keeper

Here's the part that genuinely surprises coaches: parents track their own kid's stats. They open the live tracker on their phone, tap +2 / +3 / AST / REB as their kid plays, and the box score builds itself across the whole roster. You stay coaching. They stay parenting. The stats just… happen.

The link you share for RSVPs doubles as a "track this game live" link on game day — the parent who already RSVP'd just taps Start tracking. By the end of the season, every kid on your team has a personal page with every game logged. So do the families.

The most surprising thing coaches tell us isn't that the stats are valuable — it's that parents stop bothering them about logistics. The infrastructure handles it.

Multi-coach, by design

Add assistant coaches in one tap (literally — there's an "Add a coach" button on the team page that gives you a shareable link). They get full edit rights to the roster, schedule, and team page. Useful when one coach handles practices and another handles game-day, or when a team is co-led across age groups.

Step away from the team next season? "Unclaim" hands the page back. Nothing locked, nothing personal, no negotiation needed.

A league, not a silo

Your team doesn't sit alone. It shows up on the live league alongside every other youth team:

How to claim your team — about 30 seconds

  1. 1
Open thekidgoat.com/coach. Sign up with your email — we'll send a magic link. No password to remember.
  2. 2
Pick your team from the list. Or type its name to create a new entry. Add a logo + motto if you want — all optional.
  3. 3
Set up your roster. First names + jersey numbers. Pre-suggested from any parent who's already tracked a game on your team — usually you just confirm.
  4. 4
Schedule a game + share the RSVP link. One sentence in your team WhatsApp: "RSVP for Saturday: thekidgoat.com/rsvp/abc123". Parents tap their kid. You see the count.
  5. 5
That's it. Recent games show up on your team page automatically as parents track. Player pages light up. Stand back and let the season unfold.

What it costs

Free. No ads, no premium tier, no upsells, nothing locked behind a paywall. The whole thing — the team page, the RSVP flow, the live tracker, the league, the player profiles — is free for parents and coaches alike. Here's the why if you want the long version.

If you have feedback, ideas, or want to suggest features for coaches specifically, email me. I'm building this for my own kid's team first, every other team second, and what works for one coach almost always helps the next one.
